Mrs. Dudziak

Mrs. Dudziak

Hello! My name is Melissa Dudziak and I am the Kindergarten teacher.  This is my 11th year teaching Kindergarten and I love every minute of it. I will be married 5 years this May to my wonderful husband Keith and we are the proud parents of a 2 year old boy named Ryan. Some things you may not know about me are that I love to cook and try out new recipes. I’m also into crafting and making different things for the garden or for inside my home.  My most favorite thing to do is read. I could sit and read for hours if I had the time.

Classroom Information

Welcome to Kindergarten

Please remember the following

-label everything that comes to school and what it is for.

-if your child will be buying lunch please put the money into a wallet/baggie or envelope and properly label it with name and “lunch money “written on it. Please do not let them hold the money in their pockets.

-any changes in dismissal please either call the office or send in a handwritten note.

-don’t think that a question is stupid. If you are thinking it chances are other parents are thinking the same thing. There is nothing that I haven’t heard or been asked.

-please do not put ice into the water bottles. As the ice melts it creates a water puddle under the bottle and our papers get wet and rip.

-lets have a great year!

On this page you will find a more detailed summary of our day.

Week of October 22-26, 2018

SuperKids-We have been working with Alf and learning what begins with /A/ and the sound /A/ makes. As we continue with SuperKids each unit piggy backs on the units we have already finished. We are still working with the letters /C/, /O/ and /G/. Please continue to work with these letters with your child including the sounds they make.

Math- Last week we started chapter 3 and worked with the number 6. Please practice writing 6’s at home as this is a tricky number. This week we will be working with and writing numbers 7-9. Keep practicing counting to 100.

Handwriting- During Handwriting time we will be learning how to make our strokes the correct way by starting at the strawberry line (top) or vanilla line (middle) and how we never ever start from the chocolate line (bottom). This week we will be working with horizontal lines.

Science- We are going to be learning about motion and how things move.

Social Studies- This week we will be talking about how we work together and why it is important.

Religion- We started working on saying the Our Father and working on the Sign of the Cross. This week we are going to be learning about the rosary.
