Mr. Likos

Mr. Likos

6th Grade Teacher

My name is Jedediah Jon Likos and I have had the privilege of being a part of St. Amelia School since 2003.  A native of Buffalo, I attended Buffalo State College and received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education; several years later I returned to school and received a Master’s degree in Literacy from Medaille. After 2 years as an aide, I made the transition to a classroom teacher, in which I taught 5th grade and then 4th grade.  The knowledge and experience I gained through working in multiple settings within the school helped create a framework of learning that I still use today.  In addition to my 4th grade position, I currently instruct students in the afterschool program and spend my summers as a camp supervisor. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my daughters Joslyn and Jewel. I love bringing Jewel to tap and ballet class every Saturday morning and am beyond proud of the accomplishments Joslyn has made in her numerous dance courses and harp lessons.  I greatly look forward to watching them grow as students here at St. Amelia School. Together with a team of amazing and creative teachers, I am committed to providing your family with a loving and developmentally sound foundation for a lifetime of learning.
