St. Amelia School’s performing arts program is an integral part of the overall curriculum, and operates on the belief that all students are innately artistic and can find meaning and joy in music and drama.
From Elementary School on, all students are given the opportunity to discover and enjoy their inner performer and master the skills that give them confidence in those very public displays of their talents. Students also have opportunities to learn about their musical heritage and be able to listen with informed ears.
The drama program, with both classes and extracurricular plays, begins in the fifth grade. Both actors and technicians hone their craft to the point where full-scale musicals become crowd- pleasing favorites. The Performing Arts Program at St. Amelia School brings to the stage outstanding professional talent for the enjoyment and appreciation of all students.
Music and Dance is currently available from Kindergarten though Grade 8 and is a requirement. Group lessons begin in Grade 5 and continue though Grade 8. We offer a variety of musical ensembles for your spirited child.
