October Newsletter

Dear Valued Saint Amelia School Parents and Guardians:

Looking back on the beginning of this school year, it certainly was a busy one! Many events were scheduled. Some new, others long-standing traditions here at Saint Amelia School. Each event offered us the opportunity to get to know each other and grow more as a school community.

In this fast-paced world in which we all live it is often easy to push aside some of our most basic needs. In Matthew 15:32-38, Jesus realized His listeners had many other needs besides just the need to learn. He realized that His teachings would be less effective if the people were hungry. Like Jesus, we are often called to reach out to members in our school community to “feed” them. Likewise, we need to make sure that just as Jesus did, we are taking care of the needs of our own bodies, minds, hearts and souls.

As the air begins to cool and the leaves begin to change, I challenge each of you to take a few minutes to enjoy the beauty around you and to take a few moments to feed your body, mind, heart and soul with the little things that bring joy to your life each day.

I will pray for each of us as we continue to grow and strengthen as a school community throughout the school year.

Have a blessed day,

Mr. Scott C. Kapperman

M.S., Ed. Principal
