June Newsletter

Dear Parents:

When the school grounds have gone quiet, the classroom walls are bare, the sounds of children laughing are missing and everything “school” is being finalized is the time I realize and reflect on how blessed we all are to be part of the ministry of St. Amelia Catholic School.

I can’t believe the school year has come to an end. I want to thank you for your dedication and commitment to your child’s Christ-centered education. Together, we can make all things possible through Christ. As I always say, “The parent is the primary educator.” Again, thank you for that commitment to your child. It is your dedication to Catholic education, our mission and school philosophy and our School-wide Learning Expectations that help us to thrive as a school and community.

All of us here at Saint Amelia Catholic School understand the sacrifices each family and extended family members make to send their child to St. Amelia Catholic School. Guided by Jesus Christ, we will continue to put your student first in all our endeavors.

I wish our eighth grade students all the health, happiness and success in their high school careers and beyond. May they take with them all that they have learned from Saint Amelia Catholic School. Parents proudly see their children as the St. Amelia Catholic School Graduates who are active faith-filled Catholics, life-long learners, effective communicators, responsible citizens and culturally aware/global citizens.

Again, I thank you for your dedication and commitment to your student’s Christ-centered education and the Saint Amelia Catholic School family. I feel so blessed and honored to be a part of this family. I look forward to seeing you all in September. May God bless you all.

With the year drawing to a close we wish to express gratitude, thanks and appreciation to all staff, students, parents and community members who together have made St. Amelia Catholic Elementary School such a very special place to learn, serve and lead.

On June 29, 2017, Fr. Tom will retire as pastor of St. Amelia Church and School after twenty-two years of service and forty-nine years as a priest. Fr. Tom has been an inspiration to all of us both young and young at heart. His energy and ideas helped shape St. Amelia School into one of the finest Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Buffalo. He coined the phrase “St. Amelia School – a Five Star School”; we will ever be indebted to him for his commitment to our school. Fr. Tom ~ Veni Vidi Vici!

On behalf of Father Tom, Fr. Seάn Paul, and the faculty and staff, I want to say thank you for the sacrifices you make to choose Catholic education at St. Amelia School. We truly appreciate that you are entrusting your precious children to us. A strong partnership between parents and teachers is imperative to the success of our students. We are in this together! Thank you for partnering with St. Amelia School! Our faculty, staff, and students pray throughout the year for more families to make the commitment to Catholic education as you have and enroll their children in St. Amelia Catholic School. As always, I ask for your prayers to the Holy Spirit to give me the guidance and wisdom to serve as principal of Saint Amelia Catholic School.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

James Mule`,
