Terrific Kid
One student from each homeroom is selected by fellow classmates for the “Terrific Kid” award. Students are recognized once a month for working to the best of his/her ability to improve academic performance, behavior, relationships with peers, attendance, and overall character traits.
Student of the Month
Each month “Student of the Month” awards are given by each homeroom and special area teachers, based on the following character traits: RESPECT . . . RESPONSIBILITY . . . PERSONAL BEST.
Plus Five Club
Any student that raises his/her subject average five (5) or more points between marking periods will be acknowledged with a certificate and prize. This program is open to all students regardless of academic average.
Salute to the Best of Saint Amelia School
Students are nominated based on the following criteria:
- Always Treats Others with Respect
- Practices Self-Control
- Displays a Positive Attitude
- Demonstrates Positive Self-Esteem
- Is a Good Citizen
- Is Helpful to Teacher and Peers
- Shows and Promotes School Spirit
- Displays Effort and Quality Work
“Caught You” Cards
“Caught You” cards are given to students as immediate rewards by faculty and staff. Students exemplifying character traits and random acts of kindness will receive a card with a treat attached to it.
“Good Time” Tickets
“Good Time” tickets are given to students as immediate rewards by faculty and staff. Students exemplifying character traits and random acts of kindness will receive a ticket which can be used to buy supplies in the school bookstore or can be placed in the weekly, monthly, or year-end drawing raffle jar to win prizes.
Breakfast of Champions
The breakfast will be held in spring, and will be for any student that has achieved the honor roll two out of three marking periods. The honor roll for Grades 3-8 is:
- First Honors = 95.0 - 100 %
- Second Honors = 90.0 - 94.9 %
- Commendable Achievement = 85.0 - 89.9 %
Please Note:
A “B” average must be maintained in Art, Music, Computer, and Physical Education in order for student to be eligible for First or Second Honors.

Post Cards “Good News” Notes
Cards and Note paper are available in the Faculty Room. Each teacher is to send one (1) to the office weekly to be mailed home after seen by the Principal.
